Francisco Granero Granados served with subpoena
Ex-Mayor of Albox, Spain ordered to appear in court.
The ex-Mayor of Albox and current spokesman for the Partido Popular, Francisco Granero Granados has been ordered to appear before the courts in Huercal Overa on the 27th of March 2009.
The purpose of the subpoena, is to hear the alleged crime of unauthorised urban construction, in accordance with Article 486 of the Criminal Code.
The court has ordered that the accused must appear in person and that should he fail to attend, a warrant may be issued for his arrest.
The Socialist Municipal Group PSOE of Albox has said that due the extreme seriousness of the accusations, they will be requesting his resignation.
