Hi All

I joined a couple of weeks ago but I’ve only just got round to sending my first post. You may know me from other forums; I’m the guy that’s always trying to promote ‘hash house harriers’, and I’ll probably become a hash bore on this site too, as well as reading and commenting on other issues, of course, (when I get round to it).;)

Just in case you’ve never come across my ramblings elsewhere and don’t know what hashing is, check out this website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_House_Harriers and this link to an online magazine article, featuring our group http://www.mojacarmagazine.com/page16.html

Best regards
Puff

PS All the best with the site!:)

Hi Puff,

Welcome to the forum.

I for one look forward to hearing about your exploits with the Hash Harriers - I wonder if there's a group in Albox?

:)

Hi Puff,

I wonder if there's a group in Albox?

:)

No, but we’re coming to Albox (Limaria, actually) for the next one on 10th February, watch this space.

The hashes can be anywhere within reason, we’re expecting one near Vélez Rubio, and Oria in the not too distant future.

MIH3 Run # 6 write up

This was our first venture ‘inland’, to Limaria. The run started from the home of ‘Oh Limpy One & Two’, our ‘hares’ and hosts for the day.

Before we started, the ‘hash crap tee shirt’ was awarded to ‘Racy Roadstar’, for ‘canoodling’ herself on the last hash, when there were other hashers nearby, that would’ve gladly offered their services.

Both walkers and runners set off together and as we left the village into the beautiful hills of the surrounding countryside, the runners forged ahead and quickly left the walkers to their own, shorter trail. Both trails were well laid out and easy to follow, however, two runners missed the true trail and became quite lost and had to turn back on more than one occasion!!!
This was arguably the toughest run yet, with many hills. Comments like “oh no not another hill” was heard, but what goes up, does come down, and we all ended up back at our hosts house, having had a good run/walk
Some refreshments were taken before everyone was called to the circle, where some announcements were made, then ‘down downs’ were awarded, including, publicity seeking, treating the hash as a ‘nature trail’ (checking out the local flora & fauna) and mistaking a donkey for a dog!!! Then there was a bit of a ‘sing song’ before the circle ended.
One item that went almost unnoticed was, a harriet drank beer for the first time today, including a ‘down down’, she commented, “it’s not really that bad is it???

Our thanks go to ‘Oh Limpy One & Two for a good trail and their hospitality.

Next hash will start at The Vera Hotel on 24th February at 11.00.

NB Some hashers were noticeable by their absence from this hash; you are required to attend the next hash with you excuses, in writing.
