I thought the demonstration went very well. The main point being to assure The Priors that everyone there was in sympathy with them. Perhaps today will help put a stop to other demolitions - or at least save the bulldozers for more important jobs like knocking down the rather obvious hotel in the national park/on the beach outside Carboneras - El Algarrobico.

We attended the rally in Vera today and would like to thank you for presenting it very efficiently. Translating the Spanish to English in short bursts kept both nationalities up to date without having to wait for ages for a speech to be understood.
We felt that the rally was quite well attended, but the numbers there should really have been multiplied tenfold when you realise just how many people in ALL areas that these demolitions could affect. Many people tend to have a say on the forums without putting their money where their mouth is, so to speak, which is a great shame. Greater numbers mean that the Junta will be forced to take greater notice!!
It was wonderful to see such a large Spanish presence there, proving that they are just as enraged and affected by the Junta´s despicable action as the English are.
No-one could fail to be effected emotionally as they listened to Helen Prior today - lets hope they get the compensation they deserve from the Junta and that its sooner rather than later!! I am sure their voices will be heard and we wish them all the best.

To Basil Brush, in answer to your question, yes the AUAN were there in support of the Priors. A low profile was kept so as not to detract from the real focus, which was of course the Priors.
