Hi Folks,

I had to delete several posts from this forum this morning that didn't meet our posting guidelines. (http://www.alboxinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49)

Please understand that the intention of this forum is to let people know about special, one off events, gigs, fiestas and quiz nights (or similar).

If you have a business or service that you wish to promote then you should be using the Albox directory (http://www.alboxinfo.com/) where you can add a FREE listing (http://www.alboxinfo.com/listing-add-edit.php).

In a nutshell, the directory is for promoting businesses and services and this forum is for posting about special one off events.

Do you think it might be useful to have expiry dates on topics in this section, i.e. 1 day after the event the item is removed. This would prevent a list of outdated entries.

Thanks for you input.

I'd rather not remove old posts as we'd lose the history of past events which can also be a useful record.

However, I've amened the posting guidelines from...

Please use descriptive titles

to...

Please use descriptive titles that includes the date of your event

hopefully that will make it easier to see which events are current.
