Hola Todos,

Has anyone got any experience of burning chestnut as opposed to the usual olive or almond on your woodburners. I know it is more expensive but it is supposed to burn longer. It seemed to be something new on offer this year.

Hi Mikeyj,

Not tried it up here, but I asked our friend Jose about this and he asked his father, who said that castaño (chestnut) is the best, even better than olive.

We have only used chestnut logs for the last two years and they definately burn longer and give out more heat. We always get our from the chap on the Rambla at the Tuesday market in Albox; he usually has a young lady with him who speaks English.
