Spanish Banks - Any guarantee on deposits?

Just curious, does anyone know if Spanish banks have any guarantees on deposits?

I was reading this on Canal Sur teletext this morning.
€30,000 apparently.

I have just heard that the prime minister has announced that spanish banks are now able to guarantee deposits of up to 100,000 euros.

I also saw in the news they'd upped it 100k, so my 99 cents should be well and truly safe.. :rolleyes:
