Does anyone know whether there is anybody at Partaloa Town Hall who speaks English so I can get my Padron registered.
Or is it a form I could take away and use the internet to translate and then I could complete and return.

Nobody there speaks much English but if you see Luiz (in the office on your left as you enter) he speaks a little English and is very pleasant. He will be able to guide you through it - as long as he's not on holiday. Thankfully the 'dragon' has been got rid of recently after she was sacked because of her manner - pheeeww!

I went to the townhall on the 18th August to registor on the Padron and the forms were filled out and info provided but was told to come back 25th/26th August to collect certificate.
Went back on 26th August and was told next week.
Been in today and have now been told another 5 days.

I need the Padron to enrol my son at school but I have very limited Spanish to understand why the holdup.
Understood in August due to holidays but I thought everything was back to normal in September.

Worried will go back on Monday and will be told another week.
School starts on 15th September.

Any advice on getting son into a school if Padron certificate still not available.
Have the "Solicitud de Empadronamiento" filled in ,stamped and dated.

We sometimes have that problem in Oria. It's usually because the mayor is not around to sign it. Try using www.freetranslation.com. Type in why you need it and by when, translate, print and then show it to them. I sometimes do this if I'm going to the doctors.
