Car Driving in Albox

We are moving to Spain in August and could anyone give us advise whether it is better to drive out a UK car or buy one when we get to Spain.
It would be a second hand car?

It would definately be better to buy one here. If you bring your UK car it can only stay for 6 months then you will have to put it onto Spanish plates. The cost of this is determined by what model the car is and the value put on it by Trafico in Almeria. A lot less hastle to sort one when you're here.

But do I not need a NIE number and a resident card to buy a car in Spain?
