Cabrera Open Gardens Day

Cabrera Open Gardens Day takes place on Sunday 20th April 14.30 to 18.30. This is a great day out for garden lovers as all the gardens in Cabrera are unique due to their fantastic location. For those of you who don´t know how to get there, it is just above the Cortijo Golf Course near Turre - signs will be easy to follow from the Turre road.

Tickets are priced at just 5 euros (children free), available from The Word in Albox or Turre - and with an Art Exhibition and Cava, Cabrera Poster Competition, tea and cakes and plants for sale at selected gardens - it really is a great day out for all the family and the scenery is superb. Its all for a great cause too - all proceeds go to MACS Cancer Support Group. Hope to see you there!

Hola Todos,

A big thank you to all those of you who braved the winds yesterday to attend the open gardens day, it was especially rewarding to meet so many people who had travelled up from the Arboleas/Almanzora area and to hear their comments about the area, it's beautiful views and all round character.

We will keep you informed as to the numbers of attendees and the amount raised for MACS, which of course was the focus of the event.
