Did you know there is a Cricket Club in Albox ?? Well, i did and I am now secretary of ACC, Albox Cricket Club. We are in the latter stages of building our own ground and although we have a small number of players we always welcome new members. If you are interested in joining as a player or just in a supporting role then, please, don´t hesitate to call. There are practice nets most weekends off season (late Nov. - Mid March) and Wednesday evenings during the season. Sadly, until the ground is playable, matches played are at La Manga every other weekend during the season. So, if you fancy a day out and watch some good cricket then give us a call.

Do the club require umpires...I used to umpire in the Yorkshire minor counties league.

Intellectuals wons the toss and decided to field,

Albox Innings 219 for 6 (40 overs)

Intellectuals Innings 178 for 7 (40 Overs)

Albox beat Intellectuals by 41 runs

Well Done to Dave Langsford who scored 127 runs and a great day was had by all !! :D

I was told many eons ago that the club would be doing classes for kids - any updates on that ? And is there a womens team ?

As soon as the ground is fully functional then there will be many differents things going on and Yes we would love to get a womens team together it's just finding enough women who enjoy the sport and want to play it.

the latest news i can give you is that all permissions are in place and the work to complete the ground should be started very soon. The astro-turf has been delivered and so, weather permitting, we should be going hell for leather on it any time now!.
