Hi All,
From what I have been told, you cannot book a table at the Syedpur, seems a little strange, I mean how does the kitchen cope or are they on full alert?
Good reports on the food so far, not so good about smoking though, although haven't actually been there myself yet.

We went last week, very good food. Didn't like the smoking allowed policy. There is a no smoking sign on the door but when we asked why people were smoking we couldn't get a reply, just a shrug. The smokers however were directed to the back.
Service very good as well.

My take on Syedpur.
A big group of us went there a couple of weeks ago. I think everyone agreed that the "No Reservations" policy was plainly stupid. I believe someone even tried to leave a deposit to hold a table for our group and even that was turned down. Consequently at the start of the evening the group was split into to two tables in different part of the restaurant. Eventually we did all make it to the one table.
I was really impressed by the décor, very nicely decked out indeed. I thought the service was a little slow, not that it really bothered anyone too much. The food in general was very good with one exception, the Saag Paneer (one of my favourite dishes) didn't seem to made with any type of paneer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paneer) that I've ever tasted before, in fact I think they probably ran out and substituted emmental or something similar - whatever it was it got the big thumbs down from me. Last grip for this post was that by the end of the night the restaurant was so full of smoke that even the smokers were complaining..!
Despite the negatives I'd give it another shot, but I'll still be pushing for a reservation...

Hola Todos,
Noticed an ad in the Sol Times for the Syedpur, saying it's best to go along outside their busiest times 19.00-21.30 to avoid disappointment and guarantee your table.
